THINGS TO KNOW

Conrad Safety Information

Hospitality Desk

During your leisure hours, event staff will be available to assist you with questions. Please check the Agenda for onsite Hospitality inquiries. All times, function rooms, bulletins and schedule changes will be posted there. Stop by for help in arranging personal plans, for answers to travel questions or to reconfirm your activity schedule.

Meals at Leisure

Champion’s Circle has arranged for all meals as designated in your agenda.  You will be responsible for any meals noted as “at leisure, on own”. A cash allowance will be provided to use for meals on your own, leisure activities or anything you choose.

Personal Expenses

You will be required to provide the hotel with a credit card to cover your incidental charges.  If a credit card is not provided, you will not have access to any in-room amenities such as phone calls, valet and laundry services, and mini bar/personal bar bills. The resort staff will keep a separate record of these expenditures for you.

Local Currency

America uses the US dollar (US$) as its official currency.

ATM/Credit Cards

For locations where you can use your ATM/debit card to obtain cash, contact the financial institution that issued your card, or visit MasterCard or Visa.  For your convenience, Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort has an ATM on property.  The hotel accepts American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club and Discover Card for your personal expenses.

We strongly recommend that you take most of your personal travel funds in the form of a credit card.  You may wish to notify your credit card company prior to your departure that you will be traveling in order to avoid delays with card authorization.

Tipping /Gratuities

Gratuities will be provided for all group events outlined in the agenda, including porterage and daily maid service for you and your one designated guest.  For other services not included in the program, gratuities are left to your own discretion. Tip according to quality of service; most servers (waiters, taxi drivers, etc.) receive 15-20%.

Valuables

Safeguard your valuables.  It is best to leave valuable jewelry at home and use the resort’s in-room safe for your excess cash and travel documents. Keep purses, wallets, money and cameras close to you at all times, especially in crowded public areas.

Local/Long-Distance Telephone Calls from your room

  • Wireless Internet access for one device per room
  • Computers available for guest use in the lobby
  • Multi-line telephone(s) with voicemail (fees may apply for some services)
